In the aftermath of the tragic events at the IndyCar World Championship in Las Vegas, it's sometimes hard for people to know how to proceed.
The Paddock Pulse has always been our weekly dual-purpose snarkfest and blogger fluffing. Last week that understandably changed because of the proximity to the events of October 16. But now we're past the major grieving and starting the long, difficult process of moving on, so this week's grab-bag is a little more eclectic than the heartfelt tributes and agonizing sorrow that we collected in our last issue.
So the executive decision goes thusly - for another week, we'll let the bloggers speak for their own links. BUT - as I promised on Twitter - I will conclude this intro with a fart joke. I initially meant it teasingly, but I was overwhelmed by the response (and kind of disturbed by the graphic detail of said response) from people who honestly could not wait for a dose of flatulence humor. You people are kind of sick, you know?
Anyway, here goes: The maxi-pad told the fart, "You are the wind beneath my wings."
