"The Friday Setup" will be a preview of the upcoming races and the schedule of the weekend events (practice and qualifications) leading up to race day. Also it will include other forms of rambling about the upcoming race (and the overall state of IndyCar) by yours truly, because I got to somehow bring up the word-count so SBNation will allow the posting of this article/schedule so you can see it. Or something like that.
One more oval until the end of the season...unless we get a surprise (doubt it).
So if this DW12 chassis can make the other ovals quite nice, what is it going to do to the already insane Iowa Speedway? Will Iowa's own pressdog™ be hitting the breathing bag by lap 7? Bob Jenkins by lap 12? The Lotus engine by the green flag? ALL MORTAL LOCKS.
Actually the Lotus engine will get its breathing bag by Toronto; it is scheduled for an upgrade. OMG, SIMONA CAN HAZ MOAR POWAH? I CAN FINALLY WATCH SIMONA WITH ANY SORT OF HOPE?!?!?! Probably? Sort of?
"By then, the Lotus-powered HVM Racing entry driven by Simona de Silvestro could pose a more consistent threat to the middle of the grid thanks to Rule 4.7 in the engine regulations..."
The MIDDLE of the grid? NICE COMPLEMENT, MARSHALL. Lotus snail engine or not, that is NO WAY to talk to a woman. As a man who has ACTUALLY talked to Simona (a couple of times...quite nervously and brief) you got to be much more complementary than that. You instead should have said "a more consistent threat...TO ROCK DARIO'S FACE, CURE BIRD FLU BEFORE IT MUTATES, AND SHOOT RAINBOWS." Something like that.
Anyways, back to Iowa. Looking at the schedule there's practice, heat races, and...WAIT, WHAT?!? HEAT RACES? That's so short track! What, will there be a B-main to transfer into the main event? Will there be fights??? Will the race be in Knoxville instead? WILL ROBIN MILLER SH*T A DIRT BRICK? It would bring former dirt-racer Sarah Fisher out of retirement, and pressdog™ will be breathing into a bag even more than he will Saturday night.
