FORECAST UPDATE Friday 10 PM EDT: The forecast is looking dry this weekend. The best shot for any rain would develop late Saturday afternoon into the evening with showers and a few thunderstorms. The good news the activity should be over before morning on Sunday. The other big weather story will be how hot it will be. Temperatures could reach 90 by the afternoon. If you are going to the Indianapolis 500 stay hydrated with water and stay cool.

FORECAST UPDATE Thursday 12 PM EDT: If you have followed the Indianapolis 500 for any length of time then you know that the weather during the month of May can be just as wild, if not more so, than the action on the track. We experienced that with the showers and storms last weekend during pole day and bump day. Although there is rain in the forecast today and again late on Saturday, overall we have a good forecast for Carb day on Friday with a mixture of sunshine and clouds and for Sunday's Indianapolis 500.
I do think Sunday will be mainly dry, very warm as high temperatures reach the upper 80s, but there is enough indication from some of the computer forecast models that an isolated shower or storm could pop up. At this current time, I am not too concerned about rain for the 95th running of the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing"
