Hours after formally announcing their split with Tony Kanaan, Andretti Autosport confirms Ryan Hunter-Reay has been signed for the next two years.

Andretti Autosport announced today that Team IZOD driver Ryan Hunter-Reay is set to run the remainder of the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series season after a group of team sponsors stepped up collectively to fund the effort. In addition to confirming Hunter-Reay's full-season participation, the team also unveiled a new charitable initiative connected to the #37 entry called "Racing For Cancer." The program, which was developed by Tom Vossman - chief executive officer of team sponsor Inland Industrial Services Group - will raise money for cancer research and other charitable causes in honor of Hunter-Reay's mother, Lydia, who lost her battle with colon cancer in November 2009.

At the annual Fuel Ethanol Workshop in St. Louis Monday, ICM, Inc. and Green Plains Renewable Energy, both industry leaders in the development and production of biofuels in the U.S., announced they are teaming up to sponsor the #37 Ethanol USA-Team IZOD car from Andretti Autosport driven by Hunter-Reay at the Iowa Corn Indy 250.

Ryan Hunter-Reay will compete with Andretti Autosport during the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series season with Phillips-Van Heusen's IZOD brand as the primary sponsor of the No. 37 entry. Hunter-Reay's schedule is still in development, but will include the Indianapolis 500 and races before and after the May 30 event.
